George J. Randolph: A Problem With Motor Vehicle Use?

George Jules Randolph, dob 2-1-47, who is the spouse of Lafourche Parish President Charlotte Randolph and was liable in the automobile accident August 24, 2005 wherein he wrecked the Parish's emergency preparedness vehicle while chauffering Charlotte, for which taxpayers paid $40,000, has an extensive motor vehicle criminal record. Below is the record found in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish. The date is the date of arraignment.

Terrebonne Parish:
1. 11-05-69 - Reckless Driving
2. 2-23-78 - DWI, Failure To Obey Stop Sign, Left Of Center
3. 12-2-80 - DWI, Speeding, Operating Vehicle Without License Plate
4. 1-13-81 - Failure to Maintain Control
5. 2-12-88 - No Drivers License On Person
6. 11-3-88 - Operating Motor Vehicle Without Wearing Seat Belt

Lafourche Parish:
1. 6-24-91 - Speeding
2. 7-27-95 - Speeding
3. 5-8-01 - No Seat Belt

The first Terrebonne DWI was dropped in part because George refused the field sobriety test and blow. On the second, he pled guilty after blowing .20%, twice the legal limit at that time.

Charlotte knew, or should have known, of her husband's problems with driving. Yet she permitted him to drive a Parish vehicle entrusted to her.

How many other betrayals of our trust has Charlotte committed during her term?

Does Charlotte have the judgement to be Lafourche Parish President?

He needs to stick to Roadrunning. He obviously doesn't drive responsibly. But then, we really haven't seen much responsibility in the last four years from the Royal Couple.
