Loulan Pitre Will Not Seek Reelection
According to The Daily Kingfish, citing John Maginnis' Louisiana Political Fax Weekly, Loulan Pitre, author of the Ray J. Cheramie Memorial Generator Bill, which recently became law, will not seek reelection.
Update: August 5 - emailed news release dated Thursday, August 2 from Loulan: "State Representative Loulan Pitre, Jr. has announced that he will not seek election to a third term in office." While this writer has had his share of well documented differences with Loulan, I would be remise not to acknowledge Loulan's genuine concern for, and efforts towards, the preservation of our cultural and geographical heritage.
It ain't too late, Charorge, to reconsider running again. That campaign war chest may come in handy for other uses.

2 terms is enough. His support for th e lil guy was not there. Overall he did a good job. He would have been more respectalble if he would have given up the port commission gig. Good Luck to him.
I was very satisfiede with Loulan's service, at least for the 1st term. In the second with some made-up and real scandal lost he lost the respect of the supporters that carried him through those elections.
And by the way, he had given up the Port Commission gig. I think before he ran for his second term. Due in no small part to our illustrious host here at the TPRTK. I am proud of the things he accomplished and saddened by the things he couldn't. But he did try and I do think he had his heart in the right place. So to Loulan Pitre, I say BRAVO but it is time for a change.
That's a note that deserve more research....
It's better to burn out than to fade away!!!
Quoting Neil Young?!?! You know he was talking about Sid Vicious, right? Loulan and Sid, what a fascinating juxtaposition. And from someone from Matthews at that!
Keep Rockin' In The Free World, TE!
Nope didn't know it was about Sid and I don't pretend to be that enlightened. Never realy learned to appreciate Neil as much as your generation. I come from the cult of hair, personality and sweet Sister Mary.
That quote was more my personal belief and not to juxtapose the two. My use is more along the line of the character Kurgan in the movie Highlander. There can be only one, blah, blah, blah. Not related to the topic at all but thanks for the enlightenment
Anyway, im not from matues me, cha. i gots family mo dan two hunded-fifty year on the sot lafourche end me.
