Big Shot Exemption To FEMA Elevation Requirements?
Apparently, Charorge*'s Misadministration believes there is an exemption to FEMA elevation requirements for Big Shots. How else can you explain Donald Vizier, unethical Port Commission President, notorious sister beater and not quite ready for MTV, placing a trailer at his Leeville facility without elevating it? Did the fact that Mr. Vizier contributed (page 5 of report) $1,000 to Charorge's campaign on September 7, 2003 have any impact? Additionally, how did he get Entergy to run electricity to that thing?
Man, back in the the good ol' Council 5 days, the Comet would have been all over this like flies on @#%$.
Didn't Charorge use the fear of losing our flood insurance because the Council 5 administration granted variances to the FEMA requirements as a scare tactic in their campaign? How easy we forget.
I think this calls for a public records request, a Congressional hearing and an Abita Amber!

And people wonder why this parish will not move foward? Lets say your a teacher and you buy some property. The property is a little low. Do you think you would get a waiver? NO! because a teacher is a little person and little people don't get favors in this parish. The elected officals need to realize that there are far more poor people that vote then so called "Big Shots". Wake up public officals. One day one of us might take your job and then what are you going to do when the "People" run the show?
