Conservative "Christians" Call For Vitter's Resignation
Rev. Grant Storms, head of the Marrero-based "Christian Conservatives for Reform", has called for David Vitter's resignation. "When Bill Clinton fell...we said 'resign', when William Jefferson was indicted we said 'resign', now it's one of our people, and we need to be consistent and say, 'David, do the right thing and resign.'"

I don't think resignation is the right thing to do. I think he should continue his service in Washington to Louisiana. The three episodes you bring up or not the same. Clinton lied "under Oath" and is still a large part of his spouses campaign to get into the White House again, no matters the rest of his indiscretions. Jefferson allegedly bribed but wants us to believe the FBI wanted him to pay-off an African dignitary and from what I hear is not resigning to have his day in court. Vitter committed adultery, confessed and will continue to face the music for some time to come. The crime statute has expired so where’s the BIG crime.
Personally, I’d trust him more now than I did before. I am seriously let down, Yes. But I’m optimistic about Louisiana’s future with Vitter as one of our Senators. In your posting(s) you sound as though you would never expect this from a Washington politician, that it’s all shock and surprise. I believe its all sarcasm and fodder for discussion.
As far as the good Rev. Storms the only thing he has been consistent in is the volume of his bellowing. And don’t forget Carl the publics-right-to-remember only last about 2 weeks or as long as the common news cycle. What the question is, “Is what’s your choice?” You gonna campaign and watch dog the parish or campaign to oust one of our brightest Senators ever?
Just my 2 cents.

I may disagree with you, terminus, but your writing is always thoughtful and well-stated, and welcomed.
