Is Craig Webre Vulnerable?

Besides voting for Parish President this year, the voters of Lafourche will also have to chose a Sheriff in the October 20, 2007 primary election. Conventional wisdom is that Charlotte Randolph can only win if a neutron bomb is dropped on the 6th and 10th Wards and the big shots, still in her camp, get a heads-up on what date the bomb is detonated.

But what about the second leg of the triumvirate running Lafourche Parish, Sheriff Craig Webre?

Someone ran a poll in the Comet fora beginning October 25, 2006. A total of 35 people voted. The poll consisted of five questions.

Here are the results:

13 (37%) The LPSO dept is run well
18 (51%) The LPSO dept is not run well
4 (11%) Undecided

How do you feel about Sheriff Webre's performance?
7 (20%) He is a great Sheriff

15 (43%) He is not doing very well as Sheriff
5 (14%) He is a bad Sheriff
1 (3%) Undecided

How do you feel about Sheriff Webre's re-election?
10 (29%) I would vote for Craig Webre
19 (54%) I would not vote for Craig Webre
5 (14%) It depends on who else is in the race
1 (3%) I am undecided

How do you feel about the Deputies?
14 (40%) They are well trained and do a good job

0 (0%) They are not well trained and do a good job
