From the artical:

"Also last month, a Metairie man pleaded guilty to collecting about $5,500 in federal rental assistance although he had a place to live rent-free. He faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine."

I wonder what 5.3 mil in BS rent of water weenies will get you?

Probably 3 months probation a $5.00 fine(excused) and a slight slap on the wrist....remember...this is LAFOURCHE after all!!!!

I guess Council Capon Mike Matherne has gotten used to the "fishy smell" since he is proposing the salary increase ordinance on behalf of the administration!
