Reservoir District Indictments
The Feds have indicted the Director/consultant of various reservoir districts around the state, and brother of a state rep. who created the district laws, for obtaining funds "to which he wasn't entitled while acting in his official capacity". You know, sort of like having a public body pay for your personal wrecks, and your husband's plane tickets, meals and booze and lending your family public generators and using public equipment and personnel on your private property. The indictment found a violation of the Hobbs Act, a federal statute "frequently used in connection with cases involving public corruption".
