U.S. Flood Control Advocate Article
The Baton Rouge Advocate published an article last week about the Pontchatrain Levee District purchasing BAGS from U.S. Flood in 2006!?!? What was the purpose of this article? Sounds like a press release advertising Vickers' product. I took the liberty of emailing the writer of the article a few facts about Lafourche Parish and U.S. Flood today. Ya'll don't mind, do ya'll Charorge?

Ok. Explain this to me. Baton Rouge, where the State Atty General is, can buy the tubes for $80K for 2000 feet and they get pumps and a trailer and we only got tubes for 5 Million?!? Isn’t there a law against raising the price like that in a time of a declared disaster? Where is the DA and his promise to straighten out the Council?!? Is it that they told him they didn’t want him because something Criminal is going on? Could he be held responsible for not looking into it? Do we need to walk the streets to get petitions signed to have someone with some BIG Balls to look into this?
I had the same question after reading the article. They got everthing for $80,000. + training. 500 tubes and the equipment cost us 5 million. Maybe we had the deluxe model, better color orange tubes and faster filling pumps and a better looking trailer. or we had a parish prez that don't know nothin.
