I'm Proud To Have A Shrimper's Blood In My Veins
About 15 shrimpers and 1 lawyer, fueled by a few cases of beer, cooked approximately 4,000 lbs. of Louisiana wild caught shrimp in about 3 hours feeding over 2,000 people last night at the Ladies of Lafourche Shrimpers shrimp boil at the Larose Civic Center. Those shrimpers worked like a well oiled machine boiling those shrimp. I witnessed a very well organized group of people, led by the unstoppable Cathy Blanchard, who worked exceedingly well as a team and got the job done. It was one of the most fulfilling and exhausting experiences of my life and I am proud to have contributed my measly sweat and strain to the effort.

Way to go Madame Chevrette!
